Bryans Carruthers “Jack” Knowles

Mr. Bryans Carruthers “Jack” Knowles age 90, of Barnesville, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Jack was born in Jackson, Georgia on April 30, 1932. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Ammons Knowles and Allie Pearl Jimmerson Knowles; step-mother, Kinie Lanier Knowles; wife of 61 years, Frankie Phillips Knowles who passed away in January, and brothers, Nathan A. Knowles and Dr. Bobby Lanier. Jack graduated from Jackson High School in 1949, was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville, and retired from Lamar EMC known now as Southern Rivers Electric Company.
Survivors include children, Ivy (Mike) Blackmon, Ellen (Earl) Rowe, Beverly (Mickey) Blackmon, Lora (Jeremy) Ray, grandchildren, Michael (Kerby) Blackmon, Ethan (Katie) Rowe, Byron (Jenna) Blackmon, Emily (Joe) Lindsey, Katherine Blackmon, Elizabeth Blackmon, Reagan Ray, Taylor Ray; brother, Dr. James Barron (Donna) Knowles; several nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Garth Forster will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please donate to First Baptist Church Barnesville, in memory of Mr. Knowles – PO Box 507 Barnesville, Georgia 30204.
