Ron (Buddy) Lanier, current manager of the Barnesville Civic Center, has been named recreation director. County administrator Wayne Patterson reported he had 17 applications for the position and interviewed the top three. Of those, Lanier was his pick. Patterson offered Lanier the job this morning and he accepted.
