Bobby Burnette reported Thursday he plans to run for the third district seat on the Lamar County commisison. Burnette, who served for nearly 16 years as commission chairman, says he will qualify in April and run. The third district post is currently held by Jimmy Hearn who, at last report, had not decided whether he would seek reelection.
