Bust at Mama’s Country Showcase

Sheriff Wendell Beam Reports: On Sunday, July 13, 2014, at 2:30 A.M. members of the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Mama’s Country Showcase, located at 2700 North Expressway, Griffin, Georgia. The search warrant was a result of a four month investigation. Gambling machines were seized during the search. The investigation revealed that employees of the establishment were paying cash to patrons who won on the gaming machines which is a Violation of Georgia’s Gambling Laws. The following employees were arrested. ’¢ Justin Taylor Wynn, Age 29, 127 Central Lake Circle, Griffin, Georgia Charges: 1. Keeping a Gambling Place 2. Commercial Gambling Released on a total bond of $4806.00 for both charges ’¢ Tiffany Diane Schafer, Age 46, 149 Glazier Farms Drive, Senoia, Georgia. Charge: 1. Commercial Gambling Released on a total bond of $2403.00 ‘¢ Suhmer Simonds, Age 34, 403 Woodton Knoll, Stockbridge, Georgia. Charge: 1. Commercial Gambling Released on a total bond of $2403.00
