Butts County deputy Clark Darden was lifeflighted to an Atlanta trauma center after his patrol car collided with a tractor trailer near the intersection of Hwy. 36 East and Parker Branch Road October 8. The accident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. Darden had to be cut out of his car. The tractor-trailer driver was unhurt. Darden was responsive and conscious and is expected to recover.
