By Sherri Ellington Barnesville city council has approved its $14,026,820 budget for 2012-13 with a millage rate of 4.136. Council also adjusted the 2011-12 budget so that actual revenue matches exact expenditures. The budget year will run from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, 2013. The general fund shows $2,688,866 in revenue and $3,504,729 in expenses. The $815,863 difference is coming from the electrical and solid waste fund, which is projected to have $8,269,786 in revenue ‘“ $7,599,786 of that in power sales ‘“ and $7,453,923 in expenses. The water fund breaks even at $3,068,168. The vote was taken at a brief called meeting Sept. 13.
