There was no looting, arson or violence on Thanksgiving Eve in Barnesville as the community came together to worship and give thanks. A throng of celebrants filled the First United Methodist Church for the community Thanksgiving service and heard a rousing sermon from Rev. Craig Ogletree. About 500 souls were at Depot Plaza for the Illumination Celebration that followed and was highlighted by the arrival of Santa.
