Free inspections of children’s car safety seats will be conducted Saturday, August 29 from 9 a.m. – noon in the parking lot at the Allstate Insurance office at 538 College Drive in Barnesville. Car seat inspections will be conducted by officer Mark Evans of the Barnesville Police Department. ”Our goal is to have every child in Lamar County is a safe car seat. No child will leave in an unsafe seat,” noted Allstate agent Hillery McBroom. The event is sponsored by Allstate, Shane’s Rib Shack, the Barnesville Police Department, Big Daddy’s Dog House and Danny Turner.
