Car stolen from Trophy Ford used in bank robbery

A red 1987 Chevy Camaro that was stolen June 1 from Trophy Ford in Forsyth was used in a bank robbery in Columbus the next day. From Allison Selman-Willis, MCSO: On 06/02/2015, it was reported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office that a 1987 Red Chevrolet Camaro had been stolen from 288 Harold G Clarke Parkway (Trophy Ford Dealership). It can be seen on video that the vehicle was taken the previous night (06/01/2015 at approximately 21:00 hours). On 06/02/2015 at approximately 12:30 hours, the Regions Bank in Columbus, Georgia on Veterans Parkway was robbed at gunpoint by two white males wearing masks driving the stolen red Camaro. It was discovered during the investigation by both the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Bureau of Investigations that a white male, later identified as Michael Lee Hall of Macon, Georgia had test driven the Camaro on 05/29/2015 and had gone to Ace Hardware Store on Main Street and had a copy made of the key, which was used to steal the vehicle. Lee was arrested by the South Eastern Fugitive Task Force- US Marshals and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Macon, Georgia on 06/05/2015. Lee is currently being held without bail at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
