Funeral services for Carey Fogarty were held Friday at First Baptist Church in Barnesville. Fogarty, 46, was Lamar County’s first paid firefighter. He was also an arson investigator and former investigator with the Lamar County sheriff’s office. Fogarty was found dead at his home Tuesday. Survivors include his father, Robert Fogarty; wife, Stephanie Fogarty; daughter, Lauren Fogarty; and son, Dalton Fogarty.
