Carlton Freddy Almon, 69, of Eusits, Fla. passed away on September 10, 2017. A graveside memorial will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Milner Baptist Church cemetery. He was born February 13, 1948 in Macon, Ga. to the late Merrill Almon and Ina Bob ‘Smith’ Almon. He spent most of his childhood in Milner, GA before moving to Tampa, Fla. After graduating high school Carlton received a football scholarship to Memphis State in Tenn. After graduating college he spent his adult life coaching high school football, most of which was at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Fla. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susie Almon of Eustis, Fla.; a son, John Almon of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Patricia (Armon) Bates of Adel, Ga.; a brother, Jimmy (Bonnie) Almon of Roddick, Fla. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.On November 4, 2017 a celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte, Fla.
