The LC Lady Trojans rolled past Crawford County in Roberta Saturday three sets to none in the Sweet 16 round of the state volleyball playoffs. LC now advances to the Elite 8 on Wednesday, game and opponent to be announced later.
LC topped Crawford 25-16, 25-12 and 25-12 and the Lady Eagles were never really a threat to coach Lori Greene’s squad.
A Pro Wrestling event will be held Nov. 18 at the St. George’s gym in Milner to benefit Heather Bunn who is battling breast cancer for the second time. Heather is the wife of Milner police chief Lamar Bunn.

The LCMS Lady Trojans topped Jasper County in the semis and Mary Persons in the final match to win the CGMSAL volleyball championship Wednesday evening at the LC gym.
The Lady Trojans won both matches 2-0.

The newly-crowned champs include Brielle Taylor, Corley Cave, Piper Wise, Neva Fletcher, Braelyn Burrow, Aubrey Studle, Finley Eubanks, Sophie Crooms, Ellie Kate Moore, Jadyn Foster, Raegyn Smith, Ava Fitzpatrick, Nadiya McEachern and Harper Osborne.
