From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m and then again from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce hosted a college and post-high school career fair. Aptly named ‘After the Tassel,’ the event featured representatives from Berry College, Macon State College, University of Georgia, Gordon College, Griffin Technical College, Technical Colleges of Georgia Representative, United State Air Force, Gordon College Education Department, Georgia College and State University and Lagrange College. The event was organized to bring colleges to the students to look at and see if they like what they have to offer.
