The Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with more than a dozen passionate Barnesville women who are taking bold steps to find a cure for breast cancer. The Chamber of Commerce is raffling off a Traeger Grill, donated by John Bittner of Southdown BBQ & Grills. The Triple B’s will be selling raffle tickets between now and the BBQ & Blues Festival. The winner will be drawn at the concert on Saturday April 25th. The Chamber will share the proceeds with the Triple B’s to help them reach their goal of $28,000 as a team. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.The Boobilicious Buggytown Babes or Triple B’s for short, are preparing for the Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60 mile walk in October, benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Team members have committed to raise $2300 or more each so that they can make a difference. The 13 members of the Triple B’s team includes: Kathy Oxford, captain; Lacy Worthy, Kristen Albritten, Elizabeth Graham, Jodi Phillips, Carmen Templeton, Ashley Woods, Heather Vaughn, Shanna Cherry, Robin Leverett, Kelly Adamson, and Ann Becker.
