By Sherri Ellington The school board has finalized extra supplemental pay for all athletic coaches whose teams go to the state championships. All the money ‘“ $20,000 if all teams made the state finals ‘“ will come from extra funds from this year’s state championship football season.Each coach would get 5% per round of their supplements for their extra work in post-season, the board decided at its Feb. 11 meeting. Salaries will be based on playoff time. ’Our coaches worked almost a half a season extra to get us to the championship,’ said superintendent Dr. Bill Truby. The extra supplement will be renewed annually based on money available from all sports’ postseasons.
