Mr. Charles Ray Westmoreland, age 82, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on June 11, 2012 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mr. Westmoreland was born in Miami, Fla., on Jan. 18, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Nathaniel Westmoreland and Dorothy Ruby Westmoreland. He retired from Gordon College, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Frances Westmoreland; cousins, Wayne and Susan Crawford and J.D. and Kim Crawford; sister-in-law Maxine Papy and brother-in-law, Powers Lynch. Visitation for Mr. Charles Ray Westmoreland will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend C.C. Hinton will officiate.
