Details are sketchy but a motorcyclist was killed in a crash near C&B Convenience Store near the intersection of Fredonia Church Rd. and Hwy. 41 South Sunday evening. Deputy coroner Cindy Killingsworth was still on the scene at 8 p.m., according to coroner Jim Smith. UPDATE: The dead man has been identified. Deputy coroner Cindy Killingsworth identified the man as 33-year-old Dennis Turner Jr. who had recently moved to Towns Edge Apartments on Forsyth St. in Barnesville from Florida. He was reportedly employed at Enercon. Killingsworth said Turner was traveling at a high rate of speed on a Suzuki Cruiser when he lost control of the bike in a curve on Hwy. 41 South just north of its intersection with Fredonia Church Rd. The bike was found well off the roadway. Turner’s body was nearby. Witnesses at Towns Edge said Turner got into an argument with another man about money.
