Plenty of entertainment and an array of simmering chili pots welcomed a host of participants to the second annual Dewaine T. Bell Chili Cook-off Thursday at Lamar County High School. Chili temps ranged from mild to near nuclear. Event organizer Donna Andrews was pleased with the attendance. Winners in the competitions at the event were: 1st National Bank – first place, table decorations. Laura Holmes, best tasting chili. LCCHS CTI program (Reeder and Bottoms): most popular chili.
