Two major events, one old and established and the other brand new, top the events calendar beginning Friday here.
The Peaches to Beaches event, known as the world’s longest yard sale, begins Friday at Antiques of Atlanta in Barnesville. The sale stretches along Hwy. 341 all the way to the Georgia coast. Deals on items of all descriptions will be available here and along the route.
The chamber of commerce will unveil its new Chow Down Buggytown event Friday beginning at 5 p.m. in the same area where BBQ & Blues is held along Library Street near the United Bank drive-thru operation.
Food trucks will be set up on site. There will be family friendly music until sunset followed by a screening of the film ‘Horton Hears a Who’.
Food trucks scheduled to take part include Rolling Thai, TwoMoo’s Coffee & Creamery, Big Burgers & Wings, Eggroll Daddy, Big James and Tacos y Mas.
