Claire White is expected to be appointed to the Lamar County Board of Assessors tomorrow. Her nomination by commissioner George Brown is expected to meet with approval at Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Lamar County commission. White worked in various capacities at the LCSO under former sheriff Joe Buice. Her husband, Al, is a former DNR ranger and current investigator for the public defender’s office here.
