Mrs. Clarice Williams McLean, 85, of Mayo, Fla., passed away Nov. 19, 2014, at Lafayette Health Care in Mayo.Clarice was born Feb. 26, 1929 in Mayo, Fla., to the late Roy and Evie Suggs Hudson. She was of the Assembly of God faith and was a charter member of the Mayo First Assembly of God where she sang in the choir. She was well known in the community as ‘Mama Tease’ and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a beautician for nearly 15 years and in her spare time enjoyed cooking, crocheting, listening to and singing southern gospel music and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, R.P. “Pete” Williams; and two brothers, Felton Hudson and Curtis Hudson.Mrs. McLean is survived by her husband of 21 years, George Edgar McLean of Mayo; six daughters, Deanna Mullis and husband Jesse of Mayo, Debbie Sorrow of Brunswick, Ga., Jane Shirley of Newnan, Ga., Debbie Sapp and husband Russ of Hampton, Ga., Joy Colwell and husband Steve of Perry, Ga., and Shirley Williams and husband Jerry of Cleveland, Tenn.; three sisters, Eunice Dean of O’Brien, Fla., Mildred Jackson of Mayo and Laura Jo Kirby of Live Oak, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held at Mayo First Assembly of God on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Sullivan and Rev. Waymon Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Airline Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at Mayo First Assembly of GodMemorial contributions may be made to the Mayo First Assembly of God building fund.All arrangements are under the care of Joe P.
