Claxton man killed in I-75 crash

A Claxton man was killed just after noon Saturday in a big rig crash on I-75. From Allison Selman-Willis, MCSO: A Claxton man was killed in a one vehicle accident today, Saturday, December 27, 2014 around 12:30 p.m. Willie Youman, 46, was driving southbound on I-75 near mile marker 185, when the tractor trailer he was driving left the roadway and struck an embankment. Youman was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office but is thought to be related to a medical condition. Youman had been to Atlanta where he off-loaded poultry he had been hauling from Claxton prior to the accident. No other vehicles were involved in the accident and no other injuries have been reported.
