Mr. Clifford ‘PaP’ Thurmon Jr. of Griffin, 66 transitioned on Sunday July 19, 2015 in the Spalding Regional Hospital. Mr. Thurmon leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Enterjoy Penn Thurmon of Barnesville; one daughter, Ms. Lafoundar Penn of Barnesville; five sons, Mr. Lamont Thurmon of Atlanta, Mr. Clay Thurmon of Gasden, Ala., Mr. Clifton King of Griffin, Mr. Steve Penn of Chicago, Illinois, and Mr. Jermaine (Deidra) Thurmon of McDonough; four grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ms. Annie L. Penn of Barnesville; three sisters, Ms. Mary Leach, Mrs. Annie (James) Fuller, both of Grifin, Ms. Patricia Penn of Barnesville; four brothers, Mr. Billy Thurmon of Griffin, Mr. Samuel (Barbara) Thurmon of Riverdale, Mr. Charles (Stacey) Thurmon of Fayetteville, and Mr. Paul D. Thurmon of Uganda, Africa, a host of sisters and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends whom all will miss him dearly.Funeral services were held Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. Pastor Clarence Norris officiated and interment was in the church cemetery. Trice Funeral Home Inc. of Barnesville had charge of all professional services.
