Coach Bob Peck of Sparta, Ga. died in a Macon hospital from complications after suffering an abdominal aortic aneurysm July 18 during a weight training session. He was athletic director and head football coach at John Hancock Academy in Sparta but had coached at Barnesville Academy in the past and was revered by his former players. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27 from 4-8 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville. A celebration of Coach Peck’s life will be held Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. at John Hancock Academy.
