Colby W. Eldridge

Mr. Colby W.  Eldridge Jr., age 69, of College Park, Ga., and formerly of Yatesville, died in Atlanta Medical Center, East Point Ga., Sunday morning, Nov. 3, 2013. Mr. Eldridge served in the United States Navy on the Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam war. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Delta Air Lines as a ramp service agent. Mr. Eldridge was a sports fanatic and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of Yatesville Baptist Church. Survivors are sisters, Dottie Eldridge of Barnesville and Kay E. (Steve) Scott of Valdosta; brothers, Tommy (Sharon) Eldridge of Milner and Dennis (Janie) Eldridge of Yatesville; nephews, Daniel (Amy) Eldridge of Thomaston, Luke (Jenna) Swanson of Honolulu and Jerry Eldridge of Milner; great-nieces and -nephews, Zackary Swanson, of Honolulu, Emmalyn Swanson of Honolulu, Josie Eldridge of Thomaston, Sarah Eldridge of Thomaston and Lindsey Eldridge of Thomaston. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home chapel with burial in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville. Dr. Mary Jane Gardner will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately after the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
