There will be a community-wide pep rally for the Lamar County Comprehensive High School football team tonight at Trojan Stadium. The festivities will get underway at 6 p.m. with head coach Jason Strickland doing a preview of the Trojans’ second round state playoff game against Blessed Trinity. The pep rally will start at 7 p.m. and will feature an introduction of the football team, routines by the cheerleaders and school step team and performance by the marching band. The evening will conclude with everyone in attendance being invited onto the playing field to do the Electric Slide. There is no admission for the event and everyone is urged to attend and show their Trojan spirit and appreciation to these young men and their coaches for what they have accomplished so far this season.
