Con-GRAD-ulations: LCCHS valedictorian does it all…and then some

When valedictorian Dinh Le takes the stage at graduation to make his speech and accept his diploma, it will be the culmination of the American dream for his family. When he began attending school in first grade, Le did not even know English. ”Not a drop of it,” said Dinh, 17. Le, the oldest child of E.T. and Susan Le, was born in Vietnam just six months before the family began their journey to the U.S. ”My father was part American so the government sponsored them to come to the U.S.,” said Le. “We went first to the Philippines. That’s where my sister was born.”
