Convenience stores burglarized

Two local convenience stores were hit by burglars early Friday morning.C&B, located on Hwy. 41 South, and TJ Outfitters on Hwy. 36 West were hit by thieves who kicked in doors in the early morning hours, stealing cash registers. Initial reports are two white males are being sought.Similar crimes have been reported in Twiggs, Monroe and Jones counties.”They are hitting rural stores out in the country. We don’t think they are local but we are looking for a small dark sedan,” Lamar sheriff Brad White said.
