Country Rock, employee cited

Spalding County sheriff Wendell Beam reports two citations issued to the owner and an employee at the Country Rock bar in Griffin. The full release from Beam follows: An investigation into the sale of alcohol to a person under the age of 21 was conducted by Investigators on Friday 27January 2012 @ Country Rock Café located at 2700 N. Expressway Griffin, Georgia. The investigation, lead to the arrest of 34 year old Tiffany Diane Schafer. Schafer was charged with Furnishing/Sale of alcohol to a person under 21 years old. In an un-related investigation after receiving complaints that the Country Rock Café were using chains and pad locks to secure the exit doors, investigators conducted an inspection of the business on 14 January 2012 and did in fact located chains and pad locks securing the exit doors to the business. This activity is against the State Fire Code and Spalding County Ordinance. The manager identified as 37 year old Robert James Bateman has been charged with the violation under the Spalding County Ordinance.
