The Lamar County commission took a big step toward mitigating its near crisis in providing EMS services at its regular meeting Tuesday night, Dec. 21.
The county will partner with Upson in contracting with Ameripro. The contract amount is $494,700 per year or $41,225 per month.
Lamar must still be licensed by the state and is moving swiftly to clear that hurdle as well.
