Mr. Davis Larry Murphy age 79, of The Rock, Georgia, died Thursday January 12, 2023, at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Mr. Murphy was born on June 4, 1943, in Miami, Florida to the late Davis A. Murphy and the late Virginia Wallace Murphy. He worked for Delta Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic for 30 plus years and was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Scarborough Murphy of The Rock, daughter, Holly (Greg) Smith of The Rock, sons, Brian (Jodie) Murphy of The Rock, Kevin Murphy of Towson, Maryland, sister, Patricia (Jack) Heisler of Altamont Springs, Florida, grandchildren, Madison Smith, Thomas Joel “TJ” (Sigrid) McRay, Rachel (Jacob) Fryer, great-grandchildren, Maddie and Macie Fryer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from The Rock Methodist Church. The family received friends on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
