The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office and a GBI crime scene team are investigating a death on High Falls Park Road. Visitors in the area discovered the body in the Unionville Church cemetery near I-75 about 2:30 p.m., according to sheriff Brad White. UPDATE: The victim has been identified as D’Shaunti Kyanni Hunter, 17, of Ellenwood. ******************** NOTICE: This story and photo(s) are under copyright. It appears she has at least one bullet wound but was shot elsewhere and the body dumped here. ”The body has been taken to the GBI crime lab for positive identification. Crime scene techs are still here working the scene,” the sheriff reported at 7:20 p.m. Coroner Clay Tillery reported the victim is thought to be from the south metro area, possibly Ellenwood. “She had no ID on her so the GBI is sorting all that out” Tillery said. The church is located at 944 High Falls Park Road. The cemetery is across the road from the church.
