Lamar County was up to 657 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 24 deaths as of the Wednesday case count update from DPH. Lamar is recorded as having 57 hospitalizations. Surrounding counties: Pike: 532 cases, 46 hospitalizations and 12 deaths. Upson: 1003 cases, 111 hospitalizations and 72 deaths. Monroe: 1060 cases, 111 hospitalizations and 59 deaths. Butts: 1063 cases, 71 hospitalizations and 46 deaths. Spalding: 2212 cases, 256 hospitalizations and 80 deaths.
