Sharon Howard, the lone Democrat in Tuesday’s special election to fill the house seat vacated by the death of Rep. Tony Sellier has ‘suspended’ her campaign for health reasons. Votes for Howard will be tabulated, however, according to Fenika Miller of the Howard campaign. Her statement clarified earlier reports to the contrary. Only voters in Lamar’s Redbone district are eligible to cast ballots Tuesday.
