Mr. Dennis Farrell Tanner, age 91, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home.
Dennis was born on Friday, December 18, 1931, in Jonesboro, Georgia, to the late Hoyt Tanner and the late Minnie Lee Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Harvey Tanner; as well as two sisters. Dennis was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God. He loved to be around people and enjoyed helping people who helped themselves. Dennis was a member of McDonalds and Hardens Coffee Club, as well as the senior center. He loved gardening, and he adored his great-grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his grandsons; Devin & Karin Tanner of Barnesville, David M. Tanner of Barnesville; son, David F. Tanner of Rome; great-grandchildren, Ryan Tanner, Dana Tanner, Ciera Tanner, Davis Tanner, Amelia Tanner; as well as a special caretaker, Kim Phillips.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dennis Farrell Tanner will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Shelton officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at 1:00 P.M. in Sherwood Memorial Park.
