A body was found near a wrecked vehicle on Hwy. 36 East early Sunday. The male victim was ejected and dead at the scene. The car bore Upson County plates. Deputy coroner Cindy Killingsworth released the name of the victim Sunday afternoon. The dead man is Kenneth Matthew Lyons, 20, of Thomaston. Lyons had considerable family ties in Lamar County, Killingsworth added.
