Despite protest, county approves Riverview zoning

In front of a standing room only crowd, mostly those who live around High Falls Lake, the Lamar County commission unanimously approved the rezoning for the Butts County IDA Riverview Industrial Park.An announced intention to table the application to re-designate the 96 acres of BCIDA owned land from agricultural-residential to light industrial did not occur.It is still unknown what type of warehousing industry may be located there.
