As excitement continues to build around the 2014 Buggy Days Festival, one event is sure to deliver. The Old Fashioned Games, Greased Pole Climb, and Fireworks will be held at the Lamar County Rodeo Arena on Roberta Drive this Saturday, September 20. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with games beginning at 7:00 p.m. A fireworks show will immediately follow the games and will launch around 9:30 p.m.’¨’¨Admission into the event is $3 per person (children four and under free) and participation in the games is $1 per race. Children under the age of 4 can participate in the races for free. Participants in the greased pole climb have the opportunity to show off their strength while having the chance to win $100.00. The fee for participation in the greased pole climb is $5.00 for two attempts.
