Mrs. Dodi Bunn Slaughter, age 49, of Griffin, passed away on Aug. 31, 2013 at her residence. Dodi was born in Griffin, Ga., on May 11, 1964. Dodi was the county nurse manager for the Pike County Health Department. She was a 1982 graduate of Griffin High School and a 1986 graduate of Gordon College with an RN degree. Dodi was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church where she served faithfully as youth director. Survivors include her husband, Roger Slaughter; children, Dane and Ashley Slaughter, Preston and Kaitlyn Slaughter and Brianne Slaughter; grandson, Brooks Slaughter; father and mother, Bobby and Virginia Bunn; sister and brother-in-law, DeeDee and Mike Criswell; niece, Skye Criswell; mother-in-law, Lanita Slaughter; brothers-in-law and their wives, Lee and Diane Slaughter and Charlie and Renee Slaughter, sister-in-law and her husband, Charlotte and Dee Mays; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Dodi was Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Rev. Jesse Dasher will officiate. Interment will be in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Dodi will be carried to the church on Monday to lie in state from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W.
