Donald Clark’s vehicle found at Forsyth motel

A 1997 Honda Civic belonging to Donald Clark was found at approximately 7:30 p.m. December 26 at a Forsyth motel, according to Lamar County sheriff Joe Buice. The car was found in a parking lot at the Tradewinds Motel. Buice said the car had been in the lot since 6:30 a.m. on November 19 – the morning Clark went missing. The car was impounded and will be processed by GBI crime scene technicians Monday, December 29. There are indications a body was transported in the trunk of the vehicle, the sheriff said. A body found in Redbone Christmas eve is thought to be Clark’s. Positive identification is expected early next week following an autopsy at the state crime lab. Buice said his department got a tip regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle which went unnoticed by Forsyth-Monroe County law enforcement personnel for five weeks despite a nationwide lookout.
