Donald Denny Buffington

Donald Denny Buffington, 73, of Milner, husband of Kathy Goggans Buffington, died Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Brightmoor Hospice.
Born in Griffin, May 3, 1949, he was son of Arthur Joel Buffington and the late Mattie V. Stephens Buffington.  He attended Milner High School and Griffin Technical College where he received a degree in Automotive Body Repair.  He retired after many years of service as a security guard having worked for several companies including Pinkerton Security and the William Carter Company.
Mr. Buffington was a member of Milner Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald Joseph Buffington.
Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-nine years, Kathy and father, Arthur, both of Milner are a sister-in-law, Catrenna Buffington of Gaffney, SC; nieces, Kayla Buffington of Cayce, SC and her son, Brantley and Shellie Leary and husband John of Gaffney, SC and their children, Noah and Ady; aunts and uncles, Freddy Buffington of Milner, Nadine Buffington of Zebulon, Dorothy Johnson of Barnesville, Larry and Sue Stephens of Griffin, Fred and Alice Stephens of Goodettesville, TN; cousins, Regina Stephens of Milner and Joe and Shirley Bostwick of Milner; brothers-in-law, James Goggans and wife Lisa of Barnesville and their children, Phillip and Jeremiah and John Goggans and wife Mary of Barnesville and their daughter, Jennifer; and other extended family members also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Milner Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Brad Ellington officiating.
The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at the home of Mr. Buffington’s father, 105 Zebulon Street in Milner.
