An anonymous donor has stepped up to make whole a firefighter who was robbed while fighting a fire on Atlanta Street Jan. 14. The donor read in The Herald Gazette of the firefighter’s tennis shoes and iPhone being stolen as he battled the blaze and will replace the value of the lost items in cash. Fire chief Steve Andrews and The Herald Gazette are working together on this effort.
