By Walter GeigerThe four men arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting at 215 Jackson Street here early Sunday have been identified.Four shots were fired from a vehicle in the area at 1:04 a.m. Sunday. No shots were fired at the home there and there were no injuries. There had earlier been a party at the residence which all the parties attended.One round shattered the back window of a pickup truck. BPD officers and Lamar sheriff’s deputies were able to find suspect vehicles. They recovered a firearm and made four arrests. A fifth man was detained but later released. All are from Forsyth or originally from Forsyth.BPD investigator Al Moltrum said three vehicles were involved and that bad blood among the parties began following an altercation, probably over a female, at Horton’s Rendezvous about a month ago.The bad blood boiled over at the Saturday night party. The assailants left the gathering, regrouped, returned and the shooting began, Moltrum said.Those arrested were charged with reckless conduct and criminal damage to property.He identified the men as Christopher Lee Hicks, 22, of Barnesville; Joshua Bowden, 22, of Barnesville; Christopher Bowden, 20, of Forsyth; and Tremaine Walker, 23, of Forsyth. Christopher Bowden is a former standout football player at Mary Persons who starred this past year at Wingate College where he amassed 76 receptions for 1,064 yards and nine touchdowns.
