Drug dealer sentenced to life to be released

A Barnesville man sentenced to life in prison following a crackdown on cocaine dealers here in the early 1990s is set to be released on parole January 14. Paul Foster (aka Derringer P. Foster) was sentenced to life in prison after his arrest for sale and distribution of cocaine on February 6, 1992. Foster’s most recent home was Valdosta State Prison. Foster had four previous convictions for the sale and distribution of narcotics before he was sentenced to life by Judge E. Byron Smith. While on parole, Foster will reside at 695 Lynmore Ave. in Macon under a housing grant. He must undergo a substance abuse assessment.
