Lisa Dziedzic, chairman of the Lamar County Board of Assessors, was ousted by the Lamar County commission Thursday morning. Commissioners Nancy Thrash, Jimmy Hearn and Bennie Horton voted for the ouster. George Brown cast the lone dissenting vote. The commission also voted 3-0 to approve first reading of an ordinance cutting the membership of the Board of Assessors from five members to three. Brown abstained from voting. The second reading will be heard at the regular commission meeting set for Feb. 9. Expected to be named to the board Fed. 9 are Roger Hollingsworth and John Hambrick.
