The early voting period for the Nov. 8 E-SPLOST referendum ends Friday, Nov. 4. Election day voters can cast ballots countywide from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. next Tuesday. At last check, early turnout had been light. ’We’ve had 164 early voters and mailed out 15 absentee ballots, of which five were returned,’ said voter registrar Anita Reid. ‘Hopefully the turnout will be better as we get closer to election day.’
