Fire ripped through a home at 315 Washington Street just after 5 a.m. Sunday. The home was a total loss and the heat from the flames melted the siding off a home next door.BFD chief Kelvin Chute said initial reports at the scene indicated a resident was inside but he was quickly located and was unhurt. “Crews worked to protect the structure next door and quickly extinguished the blaze. There were no reports of injuries,” Chute concluded.
