Easter activities are starting in Lamar County as early as Saturday March 31 and will run through Easter Sunday, April 8.The Rock Ranch Easter Eggstravaganza, a free community egg hunt, will be held Saturday, March 31. The Rock Ranch will open the gates at 11 a.m. and the event concludes at 2 p.m.More than 26,000 prize eggs will be hidden at the ranch for the event. Agespecifi c egg hunts will be held across the 1,250-acre ranch. Age groups include toddlers under 2, ages 2-3, 4-6, 7-12, and 13 and older.Actual egg hunts begin at 12:45 p.m. Story time with Harvey Wilson will begin at 11 a.m. as will photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.
