Though he will still be honored, Ed Legge will not be able to attend Saturday’s dedication of the Military Memorial Plaza at Gordon State College. Legge suffered a stroke after a medical procedure earlier this year and his family decided he was not physically capable of making the trip from Athens where he is being treated. Saturday has been proclaimed Ed Legge Day in Barnesville. Friends will get the framed proclamation to him in Athens before he leaves for a treatment facility in Minnesota April 27.
