Egg money for evangelism

By Walter Geiger Seeking to enhance their disposable summer income, Abigail and Everett Horne began selling eggs from their farm for $2 per dozen. Business was brisker than they anticipated and their nest egg grew larger with each passing day. Abigail, 10, and Everett, 7, were well pleased with their little enterprise and were making plans regarding how and when to spend the fruits of their well-laid business plan. Then, Donna Flournoy arrived at the farm to do a photo shot of the kids in and around the farm and in an adjacent sunflower field. During the visit, they learned Donna and her daughter, Kelby, were about to depart on a mission trip with A18 Ministries to Ganado, Arizona to deliver Bibles, host Vacation Bible School and share the Gospel with unfortunate children on the Navajo reservation. Abigail and Everett decided to forgo their plans for the egg money and donated it all to the A18 Ministries mission trip fund. ‘It was the sweetest thing ever. These two are such wonderful children and are helping to bless other children,’ Donna Flournoy said. Abigail and Everett are the children of Amanda Akins Horne of Barneville and Josh Horne. Grandparents are Bruce and Linda Akins of Barnesville and Sidney and Barbara Horne of Milner. For more on A18 Ministries, visit a18ministries.com
